Cinder blocks vs. Aquacrete

This happened yesterday to Randy. He's alright---although the accident startled him & he is feeling a little sore today---but did visit the hospital to make sure he was okay & everything checked out. He has been working at this house in Bella Vista. The above pictured retaining wall is NOT one that Randy built & rather was built by a man named Jose & is (was) built out of cinder blocks & it's (or should I say was) a BIG'OLE wall! Randy was spreading rock on top on this retaining wall & was approx. 5 feet from the edge when the wall fell apart & sent Randy inside the skidsteer tumbling down hill. He said it was REALLY scary. He was able to get his skidsteer started but of course it has damage to the exterior. We have insurance. . but Jose doesn't & we're also pretty sure he doesn't have a driver's license, either. . .you know what that means. Either way, our insurance company is trying to work out the situation. So thankful that Randy wasn't injured!
PS: A couple of storms ago, a HUGE tree fell on a retaining wall that Randy built in Bentonville. We have a picture somewhere---but couldn't find it. The tree didn't even phase the Aquacrete wall. . .go Randy!

Looking good has never been so easy

2 ear infections, 1 cold, 2 weapy eyes, 1 round of pink-eye, 1 rosceola rash, 1 case of thrush in her mouth & a yeast infection on her bum. . .1 crazy month for mommy.

2 brand new teeth to go with that smile & a teeny-bopper outfit. . .priceless.

(thrush is a yeast infection that Ila has in her mouth--YUM!)

I love that they are holding hands in this picture--adorable.

Smitten by his own sister---hopefully it's like that for a LONG time to come.

P.S. Can someone else PLEASE post (Elizabeth, Joyce, Grandpa Howard, Linda, Ellen, Maggie, Bekki. . .not to name names or anything but it's no fun for me to read my OWN posts!)

What's up with this?

I am able to track all the people that view Randy's website . . .it gives me a summary of what each person did on his site including their location, how long they were on the site, what pages they viewed & even how they found aquacrete.net in the first place. It is valuable for us to know how they found our website in order to know how each of our advertising venues are working for us. (including yellowpages.com, google maps, yahoo businesses, bella vista business association & chamber of commerce. . .it even allows us to see the search words they used.

Anyways, someone clicked into aquacrete.net on thursday via this link http://www.gw101.com/E4.html

Check it out. All of the information that is typed came straight off of Randy's website, although NONE NONE NONE of those cheesy-looking pictures are his!!

I tried calling the contact number for the website yesterday & haven't gotten a return call.

So my question is: Who put this info. on this website & why? I would think if they were going to take the time to copy verbatim off his home page, they would at least use HIS pictures, too!

Sweet dreams.

Charlie woke up at 2 a.m. last night yelling for me.

Sidenote:

He used to wake up every night (usually twice a night) for about 6 months. . .I would go in there & he would want me to find his bear that was buried under the covers or find his special knot on his blanket. It drove me nuts! At first he would yell "mama!" but as he matured, he started to yell "I need my bear" or "I need my knot!" When I say yell, what I really mean is scream.

Anyways, he woke up last night, not screaming, but shouting what appeared to be "I need my bear!" I thought to myself. . .come on already. . .and got out of bed as fast as possible so that Charlie's shouting would not wake Gus.

I went to his bed and began to search for his bear. Then he said, "I need a prayer." Prayer very well sounds like bear when it comes into your ear when you are sleeping. He continued, "I need a prayer so I can feel better." (his nose was stuffy) So we prayed & off to sleep he went.

PS: If you haven't checked the blog in a couple of days, please scroll down as there have been more posts made in the last couple of days.

What's the news?

I can count on 1 finger the number of times all of my kids have been sick all at the same time. . .
and it happened this past week. It first began with some colds. . .running noses, stuffy noses, no coughs & hacky coughs. . .a little bit of chest congestion---no fever, thankfully. . but a little pink eye, first with Charlie, then onto Gus. . .and some croupy cough with Ila. . .and say a prayer. . .but the pink eye hasn't reached Ila. . .or me or Randy for that matter----but then again, Randy has been putting anti-bacterial (you know, germ-x) on his eyes. No symptoms of pinkeye today in anybody---the medicine works! It's been a busy couple of days. My house is a mess. Did I mention I've been sick the whole time, too?

Randy did get another pool. YEAH!!!! We are so grateful & very relieved for at least a couple of months. He is so happy & has been going to Ft. Smith to continue to shoot concrete there---he averages about 3 times a week down there. . .and also has a hot tub & some patio to do for someone here in Bella Vista. The pool is located in a subdivision called StoneHenge in Bentonville.

I've been bowling on Wednesday evening's with a couple of friends for the past month. We have so much fun & sometimes laugh to hard to bowl correctly. I found a perfect ball for me @ the alley & purchased it. . .much cheaper than buying new. It's difficult to find an alley ball where the fingers aren't too big---unless I use an 8 pounder. . .and I need all the power I can get. I also bought a used bag on ebay in which to carry my ball----which interestingly sports the name "brett" right above the finger holes. It has character.

During the snowy weather, Randy went four-wheeling & also shot his pistol with his friend Brad---they had a good time & Randy enjoyed getting out. He is doing really well with "biggest loser" & was able to put his wedding ring back on yesterday. . .it's been a little small for about 6 months. I was thrilled.
